How does the Komondor’s coat get that way? Komondor dog experts always say it grows that way, but this is only partly true. Komondors have a double coat. Cords are the result of the coarser outer coat twisting initially around clumps of the finer puppy coat and later around the undercoat, which is similar to the puppy coat. Komondor coats vary a great deal, depending on the ratio of undercoat to outer coat, but these days it is hard to find a Komondor that you cannot cord.   Some coats seem to just simply grow into cords on their own, and you do not have a choice about how thick you want the cords to be. However, more Komondor dog needs a lot of help from their owners at certain ages.     Shortly after birth, the Komondor dog coat looks like old-fashioned marcelled waves; by a month old it looks mostly straight. This is a Molosser breed but is not a massive breed. History of Estrela Mountain Dog:   For centuries the shepherds have taken the flocks onto the plateaus for the summer, being away from home for many months with only their dogs for company and from this comes the wonderful relationship that is possible to achieve with the breed. The shepherd would return to his village from time to time to collect supplies and the dog would be left to guard the flock which developed the highly intelligent dog we have today. Bouvier Des Flandres – Information, Health & CharacteristicsBouvier Des Flandres – Information, Health & Characteristics

All Facts About Bouvier Des Flandres   The Bouvier Des Flandres was historically developed by the farmers of the Flandres region of France/Belgium as a general-purpose farm worker. The Bouviers tasks involved herding, guarding, churning and draught work. There are many debates as to the genetic heritage of the Bouvier, but it was primarily the result of selective breeding for necessity and usefulness, rather than beauty or fashion. The breed numbers were decimated during the 1st and 2nd World Wars where many Bouviers lost their lives working as stretcher-bearers and messengers on the battlefields. With the modernization of farming methods, the Bouvier Des Flandres became       redundant as a farmworker and so its skills of scent tracking, initiative, intelligence, and guardianship were utilized by the forces and police. The customary present-day role of the Bouvier Des Flandres is as a most loyal and devoted family companion.   Characteristics Of Bouvier Des Flandres   The Bouvier is large and somewhat forbidding in appearance,

All dogs can be well behaved. Most dogs are reasonably well behaved but we still see many, dog behavior problems like fighting other animals, frightening children and adults, refusing to be toilet trained and most times walking their owner rather than the other way around. The first step to a well-behaved pet is to fully understand dog behavior. Dog Behavior Dog behavior problems often range from refusing to take orders to dangerous aggressive dog behavior from being destructive to being disobedient, from being hyperactive to being pathetically lethargic to constant barking. Identifying the exact cause of the dog behavior problem helps most times in winning half the battle.   While most dog behaviors are not matters of great concern, aggressive dog behavior cannot be taken lightly as it can be very dangerous. Like any other behavioral problem, there is no quick cure for aggression but if the owner is willing to get a qualified help and put in the required time and effort aggression can usually be controlled.

Cat Illness & Disease Articles, symptoms and InformationCat Illness & Disease Articles, symptoms and Information

Cat Illness Symptoms Cats are calm pets by nature. The owner has to be really close to the cat to know that it is sick. To analyze your cat illness symptoms you must observe the pet very closely and should try to make out any change in its behavior, eating pattern, sleep pattern, and general mood. Like other species on this earth cats fall sick too, but they are gentle and quite bearable in nature. A dog might bark and bark until the owner knows that it is in trouble, but the cat takes a peaceful path and makes itself sit silently in a corner. Thus the owner has to be really agile to know about cat illness symptoms. To make out whether your cat is actually sick or not and whether it needs medical attention you should not go by only one cat symptom. For example, if your cat vomits once does not necessarily mean that it is suffering from something serious.

Cat Tick – Treatment, Symptoms, & PrecautionsCat Tick – Treatment, Symptoms, & Precautions

In my opinion, any parasite that sucks your own or your pet’s blood lays approximately 5,000 eggs, and transmits fatal diseases to humans (Rocky Mountain spotted fever and Lyme’s disease) is not a good citizen of the world!     These disgusting creatures bury their heads in the skin and suck blood until they look like fat, brown beans. At this point, probably because it is so fast that it can’t hold on anymore, the cat tick falls off the host and lays the5,000 or more eggs. The eggs hatch one or two months later.   The next two phases in the development of the cat tick are called the larval and nymph stages. These stages may last quite a long time because different cat ticks need differ-ent hosts to feed on. In the dormant stages, the cat ticks can patiently wait for months – or even hibernate during the winter under bushes, in the ground,
