Greens such as Romaine lettuce, Red and green leaf lettuce, Endive, Escarole, Radicchio, Chicory, Turnip greens, Mustard greens, Kale, Collards, Spring Mix and cabbage are easy to get from a nearby store and are healthy for Russian tortoise.

Food that should not be offered to Russian tortoise:

Some foods should not be served to Russian tortoise. You should avoid Feeding Iceberg lettuce, Bok Choy, All grains, bread, pasta, fruits which contain a high amount of sugar, Dog and cat food, Meat to your Russian tortoise. Feeding these foods to your Russian tortoise can lead to several health problems to your tortoise.

Water is equally important for pet Russian tortoise. You should provide clean and freshwater to your Russian tortoise to keep them healthy. The water should be served in a large shallow dish so that they can drink it without any difficulty.
